I'm going with Spidey for quality, and Pirates for box office success. Simply because it has a slightly wider range of audience. It will be extremely close though

I think spider man will definately be more quality as far as effects, acting, and action, but Pirates will be more of a fun summer movie to watch with it's action and funny moments all around.
Spidey still has drama to it and a nice story relating to the character, and Pirates feel more like they got the story together just to simply have more escapades for characters to be silly on.
So:
Spidey - Quality
Pirates - Box Office

No. it truly is going to be close. yet i imagine Spiderman will win. Heres why: Spiderman is the first major summer action picture to go back out and so it particularly has not something competting against it. yet Pirates dosent come out till might want to twenty fifth and it truly is going to be compelled to compete with Shrek 3, 28 Weeks Later and Spiderman 3 (amazingly their will nevertheless be some those who have not seen it). this isn't a mirrored image of the films acceptance. I think Spiderman will be an overall better movie, but based on past success, I think Pirates is likely to blow up at the box office again, and Spiderman will just come a close second.

Tough call but in my opinion it will be Pirates 3 just because Pirates one and two were such a big hit, plus everybody loves Jack Sparrow and his drunkin ways. But Spidey will still be a big hit.

That depends on if you like cartoons or history.
I have seen both 1 and 2 of each. they both have lots of action, adventure, and special effects and I believe both will a hugh box office hit. Maybe a real close tie.
I do like jack Sparrow, because he always has
lots of added humor. Johnny Depp gets another OSCAR!
They are both great movies, because your mind gets really involved with the plot and you can forget about Iraq and other world problems for a few hours.

pirates 3 cause spiderman 3 is just about his stupid other half, the preview didnt move me much
