I believe the lyric could have several meanings. I have had last summer been fortunate enough to see Sir Paul McCartney in Concert in Milwaukee Wisconsin, At the very end of the concert, his last lyric was, "and in the end, the Love you take, is equal to the Love you make" Paul's passion was undeniable at it's peak at that very last lyric of the three hour performance.

McCartney had written so many songs of the loving relationships of his lifetime. Linda who sadly passed was his motivation, to write about peace, love, and happiness, The "New" Album reflects the new love in his life, and a new beginning.

The lyric also was created back when war and world conflicts were among us. The lyric also has the so important meaning at the time, "Peace and Love" As the Beatles pride themselves for peace.

No matter what exactly what the true meaning may be of the iconic famous musical lyric. We at least know that the true meaning is "Love" no matter in what sense or form, The message succeeded to touch our hearts.

I believe it is the other way around. The love you take is equal to the love you make. It means that you get back what you put out.

The same thing I tell people about sex... Sex is only as good as you let it be.

Bottom line... You can only receive love in the amount that you are physically, and emotionally able to give.

What goes around, comes around. If you don't put effort into you won't get anything in return. You can't expect love if you don't give it. Geez, I am a guy and saying all this stuff?
