On a radio contest I won a VCR but a little over a year ago I won $2782 on the lottery...I had 6 out of 7 numbers right. The winner who got all 7 numbers was local to here and won $30 million though so my winnings seemed like kind of a let-down.

I've won tons of stuff! Ever since I was little I've always been lucky that way. I get chosen for the skits they do at Universal Studio EVERY TIME. When I was 18 Sears had a contest if you would apply for a CC so I got my first credit card with a $500 credit on it (I won the prize!)

I also won 6 Flags Marine World tickets a few months ago. In our area, Sacramento, they have a sacticket site thru the Sac Bee paper and they have all kinds of drawing every week. I have won maybe 30 different sets of tickets to movies, clubs, museums and plays and concerts. I tell people to not sign up for something unless you know you would actually go because You WILL win. I have even won tickets to more than one event on the same day! We have tickets to this movie on thursday and then Saturday after noon is the museum and Saturday evening is the play. Maybe after the play we can use some of those VIP tickets to the new dance spot that I won last week!

Good luck people!

I won a jean jacket worth maybe $30 - for giving silly answers to questions about the company in a just-for-fun contest at a corporate lunch.

I once won $10 dollars in a scratch lottery in Idaho.

I have gone to a free NHL game, a free concert, and a free CFL game because friends had spare tickets.

OH YEAH - I won the right to live in Canada by being born here. 1/200 shot in that lottery.

I won first place in my college's poetry contest. It came as a shock and gave me a much needed boost in my writing career at a time when I felt that everything I was writing was silly and mundane.

The money wasn't so much, only $300.00, but the recognition was great. I was only a sophomore at the time, yet it made a huge difference to my how I was viewed by professors and it gave me a jump start to my career as a writer.

MY Howl at the Moon 8 Hour Run trophy. I worked for 8 solid hours to rack up the miles in 85 degree weather. It was so hard. I was so tired. I got full body cramping in the car on the way home. It was worth everything, because I DID IT.

I won a trip to London, airfare and accommodations. I was really surprised since the most I'd ever won before was a pint of ice cream.

I won my freedom, the result of a lifetime's wrestling with self doubt and self loathing. In the end, middle age has brought this transformation, more valuable than any lottery win.
