Some people just don't like to hold hands. My husband and I don't hold hands. It's not something that I care to do. I don't mind a hug...but the hand holding isn't us. There is nothing wrong with you. And you don't have to step back from the relationship because you don't want to hold her hand.

You said it yourself. You are not a touchy feely guy. My father is the same way and my parents have been married for 40 years even though my mom is very touchy, feely.
My husband is very touchy feely and so am I.
Everyone is different.

Honestly I don't think there is anything wrong with you. My husband and I don't hold hands very much at all. It doesn't mean we don't love each other. We just show affection in a different way. We do hug and kiss but we just don't do a lot of hand holding.

Well.. I know what you mean and believe me.. it is hard to describe but I also do not like the touchy touchy.. why? I do not know.. Is it because I do not love the gal? NO.. on the contrary but just do not like to go down the street holding hands.

I used to be offended at the fact that my husband did not like to hold my hand. But he is just does not like to show his "affection" in public. He feels that he knows how he feels about me and does not see the need for everyone else to see.

Autism or aspergers syndrome, maybe?
Some people with AS experience varying degrees of sensory overload and are extremely sensitive to touch, smells, sounds, tastes, and sights. They may prefer soft clothing, familiar scents, or certain foods. Some may even be pathologically sensitive to loud noises (as some people with AS have hyperacusis), strong smells, or dislike being touched; for example, certain children with AS exhibit a strong dislike of having their head touched or their hair disturbed while others like to be touched but dislike loud noises.

thats ok, its not something wrong with you if you honestly don't feel moved by that sort of thing. but your gf probably does... girls like to touch as a sort of non-verbal i love you. If it doesn't make you really uncomfortable, try it anyway. it will make ur gf happy.

if you are not ready to hold hands with a girl, you are probably not ready to date yet...
