I do not believe that there is such as book like Kelly or blue book value, for semi. There are a lot of thing that can affect the value and cost of a used rig. May I suggest a few rules of thumb that can be used.

1 EBay what i have seen so far seems to be right at market value.

2 check out the paper at truck stop and from there you can get a good idea what the prices should be.

3 ask around what are you looking at?
last be not least value is what you think is right, do not compare what you have on the table to the best deal that you heard about from some guys friend. make sure your number jive with what you want to do.

Best of luck and Happy Trucking.

blackbook.com, It costs 4 bucks. Make sure you have all the info on the truck you wish to purchase. Now its not that accurate, (i was looking up a 2001 pete 379 and got a total of almost 50K and tha actual value was only 35K so do your homework and try to find similar trucks in the papers, classifieds, etc

Ask at a bank tell them what u want to do and are thinking of taking out a loan with them-- they will tell you the value of the rig

Go to a good dealer and check out the prices. Go to more than one dealer though. Also check out some large truck stops. they always have magazines with rigs for sale.

This may help, I don't know but you might try the insurance companies. They usually have a pretty good handle on things.
