I'm traveling to Canada (Niagara Falls) next week and I was wondering (crazy as it may seem), am I allowed to take soda in my car with me across the border? Sorry if this sounds weird, but I don't want any problems going to the Falls. Thanks!

Yes, the correct answer is you can't bring soda in, but you can bring "Pop" When in Rome.... lol. sorry, you are right to ask. Actually, it is probably a good idea, as the formulas are slightly different, usually sweetener related. If you try the local stuff you might get HOOKED on a better taste, and miss it when you get back home. That's from experience - going to the US I think Cherry Coke and Dr Pepper taste better than in Canada. I forget which ones taste better in Canada as I only drink Cherry Coke and Dr Pepper when in the states now. lol

You can bring any junk food and packaged foods you want, but limits are more on fresh vegetables and meets. Stuff that might carry bugs, fungus, viruses, diseases, etc. (Nothing can probably live in pop)

Here is a link related to bringing in food.

Yes. You can't take anything illegal, any firearms, and sometimes no fruit (it depends on who's asking).

Don't forget to take your passport. If you don't have one, take your birth certificate and a photo ID.

Have a fun trip!

By the way, the faster crossing is outside of Buffalo, not at Niagara Falls. All the tourists go to Niagara Falls. You can still very easily get to the falls from the Buffalo crossing. Check it out on a map.

Yes, but why would you?

We have all kinds here. You're going to Niagara Falls, not the end of the world.

Of course you can. We're Canadians. We don't care of something as minor as that.

Umm. You used to be able to. I haven't heard of anything being changed because of the whole airline thing.
