I would say that she is just insecure, and I'm not trying to be rude by saying that. I dont neccessarily like to make out in public, but a kiss here or there is fine. Just try to help her feel confident about it. I would also ask her if she is embarrased by being with you. It seems strange to me, how she is pushing it to look like you to are more friends than anything else. I mean.. maybe she is affraid of public affection... a lot of people are. But to not even let you into her appartment??? I'd be watching for unfaithfulness, if I were you.
This is just my opinion, based on your question, though. Tough situation.

If you are both adults and she is uncomfortable having you in her apartment, you must respect her space. If the you are unhappy about it , but feel the relationship is worth it, I suggest talking to her about it. You really need to examine the issue of trust. Anf to be completely honest.. in today's society people visit each other all the time...everything is not sex. Who cares if you are in the apartment alone..together or not. Unless she is wearing a badge that says we're in a relationship.. how would people know how to define your relationship. There are some other issues here...be careful

I hate to tell you this but this chic has a major problem! Seems like she has a fear of intimacy and is paranoid. She is transferring all of this onto others when it is her problem. You have to decide.....is this the way you want to have a relationship with a woman? You certainly will not change her.....she first has to admit she has a problem then she has to want to overcome it which means probably going to a counselor. She is being irrational in what a normal male/female relationship is.

There's nothing wrong with not being okay with PDAs... Maybe she was always against it.
I think you could probably talk about it to her and see what stuff would check off on her list of 'things you CAN do in public'. I, personally, think holding hands is perfectly fine. Making out and frenching in public is just... Ew.

She just needs to get over it. As long as the two of you are happy, why should she care what others think? Tell her it makes you feel bad that she values others opinions more than her feelings for you.

She is uncomfortable with public displays of affection and you need to respect that. However, I would talk to her about not letting you into her apartment because I have a feeling there is a different motive for that.

To hell with what others thing about you. Everyone is equal and we are all human. If your girlfriend was really into you she wouldnt care what others think. It seems like she's into what other think, not that important part which is you, her boyfriend.

Everybody comes from different backgrounds.. I think it's important for you to find out a way to really get to know where she came from. From there, when she can see that you understand her, she will begin to trust you... and with trust, let me tell you, relationships become AMAZING!!!
