People are not born racist, they are turned into racists by individuals or due to government policies, which perhaps discriminate between their social group and others.
As for being stupid. Some are obviously, but others will be very well educated.

i am not a racist by all means, i dont mind people of other culture, especially black people, they are the most nicest people you could meet, but when illegal immigrants come into our country, and are given houses etc, i have been with my partner for 10yrs,have 4 children and lived in a 2 bedroom rented house(yes i do work as an nvq qualified care assisant)so pay my own way, everytime i phoned for a property the answer i got was we prefer asylum seekers as we're gauranteed to get the rent from the housing benefit office,so i was discriminated for being a legal british citizen paying my way,we now live in a 4 bed house, which we pay 3 quarters of the rent ourselves, but have endless bailiffs knocking on our door for the asylum seekers who lived here before us,on one occasion we have had the police knocking on for them,so no i'm not racist but when people take the piss out of our country then ever likely there are plenty of racists out there,i

I'd answer that with a "Yeah, they're ignorant jerks" but, then I would be discriminating against them. And, I try not to discriminated anyone, it's more of the ideas of racism I think is stupid.

Hell yes. Hating someone for being different is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. That goes for race, religion, creed, anything. If you're gonna hate someone it had better be because of something they've actually done/doing.
(Though I do tend to hate scallies purely cos they walk around with their hand down the front of their trousers - will someone tell them that it won't fall off if you let go?)

Yes, but so are people who constantly use racism/sexism to explain everything bad that happens to them (i.e. I'm *insert race or gender*, and my boss didn't give me a raise, so he is a racist/sexist).
