No you do not check his e-mail. That's the worst thing in the world to do. If you think he's not doing what he's suppose to do then take the account away. Before you let him set up an account you should have asked yourself if he was ready for it.

If you felt you had to ask then definately yes. And he is not an adult, it's your house, and your rules. My son is 13 and he can have all the privacy he wants when he moves out on his own. I even have a passcode on the computer so he can't get on when I'm not home........... He and his friends have looked at porn before, it was in the history and caused me to get a virus, so yes watch their every move, it's our responsibility...........

Yep, As long as children live in your house... any and everything which comes into your house is yours. Im so tired of these liberal parents who dont get involved in their kids lives and then cry on tv when something happens to them. I would talk to my child and explain to him that I dont check his emails or monitor who hes talking to because Im noisy... I would let him know that I love him and that I am responsible for his protection and If I have to check your emails then that's what I will do. Let you kids know that you love them and that you have their back! Cause if you dont monitor who he's talking to on the internet... Who is gonna ? tha NSA?
