I will try to be nice and have a degree in Environmetal Science. We can't all be Al Gore, and "invent the internet", but I also believe, a lot of it has to do with cycles ie: El Nino, etc. I don't currently work in the eviro. bus. because I make more doing something else. ?Ha! Anyhow, the irony is so many of the things the environmentalists fight for actually work the opposite of how the say they do. ( i am generalizing). Slowing the "big trucks" down on the interstate, for example, make them work twice as hard to maintain their momentum on hilly terrain, causing them to pollute more to pick back up to speed. There are obvious things that go un-talked about. I could go on and on, but you need to talk to some enviro. lobbyists in D.C. and Al Gore, I'm not saying more couldn't be done but, we as Americans should not even be relying on gasoline. If South America (Venezuala?Brazil?) can be self sufficiant, there is no excuss for us needing the supply of oil we require. There are simpler solutions to global warming, etc, because even I don't think it is the problem as much as POLLUTION, and some politicians trying to pass the buck! Listen to Neal Boortz (or other talk radio sometime (has a web site & radio talk show, if it bores you to listen to talk radio, and different opinions you really don't care as much as you think) You may get a little more educated on some issues as such.

Several factors at play created this:

Some believe the economy will suffer if people paid more attention to the changes going on with earth.

Most people can't concentrate on fifty to a hundred years from now. Tomorrow and next month mean more.

Most people could care less if earth becomes a total cesspool.

Very few have far reaching vision.

Just look and see how many people discuss Bin Laden and 911 as if they know what that was all about.

If they only knew!

I care, as do many scientists who are working on it and warning us. If the media doesn't constantly talk about it, people like you think no one cares. Every little bit helps. I use Green Mountain Energy Company, which is 100% wind power from wind mills. This month alone my bill says, "Co2 Emmissions Avoided" (pounds)=4,389. And "Equivalent Automobile Miles Not Driven"=4,877.KWh Electricity Used=2,990. I also walk when ever I can (also counts as exercise) and when the weather man warns it is a high ozone day we do not mow the yard, fuel up the truck, or the other stuff they ask us not to do. What are you doing to help in your little corner of the world?

Because there is nothing that can be done about it.. It is a cyclic thing which has occured in the past, many times.. As we have been advised recently, we are still coming out of the last ice age. On top of that, there has been a shift in the poles, in the amount of 5 degrees. Would indicate a considerable weather change for most moderate climates.

No one thinks it exists, but it does. The earth does heat up, which causes glaciers to melt, hence global warming. One of these days, everyone will realize that global warming is no joke and deeply regret ignoring it.

We are getting a lot of conflicting information concerning global warming which is just a bit confusing as to what should be done about it.

there are people who care but it is sooo hard to get enough people to care to actually make a difference. Since most people think "well I wont be here when its gets bad"
I myself am concerned about it and out of 100 people I would say maybe one person cares.
