I am also a nail tech and have been doing both for 3yrs. I have worked at a couple of resort spa's but they only wanted me for nails. I only have 2 clients and they are sisters. I only do this part time due to having to have something that pay's the bills. I have done just about everthing I can think of to get clients. I know it is hard to build a clientel as a male. I am about ready to throw the towel in. Any help is welcomed.

Well, I honestly would prefer a male massage therapist. Perhaps you can try advertisement via coupons. Say, a certain percentage off for first time clients, etc.

Not sure this will help....but I thought I'd respond. :)

Hey! I am a hair stylist and I know how hard it is to build clientel. If I were you, I would advertise at a gym? maybe specialize in pregnancy massages? then advertise at doctors offices, at large daycares(because alot of women who already have kids are pregnant AGAIN!!!) You could do direct-mail advertising, and maybe pin-point higher income families, let me think about some more ideas, and i will get back to you! ahaha! So check back!

Might start by passing out flyers at malls, you might contact salons and gay bars, you might just advertise in magazines and newpapers. or another option might be to open your own shop , it might include a barber, a tanning booth or something similar
