No it is not better. The problem is that the intercoastal view may be developed with apartments, condos, and what not. The ocean view is somewhat safer from such things, though there is a movement at hand to build ocean born wind mills to generate electricity.

no its not but it can be good depending on where it is.... in south florida its the waterway just inland of the ocean .... it leaves a strip of land between the ocean and it .. so there is an ocean side and an intercoastal side .... its still very beautiful in places.

Its INTRAcoastal. It means you have a view of the intracoastal waterway (west) instead of the Atlantic Ocean (east). It all depends on whether you want to view sunsets or sunrises. Generally the Ocean views are more expensive.
