If HE initiates the fight, just smile at him and walk away. Tell him that you will discuss it only after he calms down. I know this is hard for people to do and it takes practice......but remember, it takes 2 to have an arguement!!! If only 1 person wants to argue, the arguement won't last long.

Fights (arguments) are not always a bad thing. Keep the past in the past and focus on the problem that started the fight. As long as you both can let go of it after it is over.

Having fights is not a bad thing at all, as long as they don't get very physical. If each fight is ended with a compromise, your marriage will grow stronger. Also make sure he is not joking around with you in the pretense of fighting with you. He might be showing you that he loves you in his own crude way. Good luck.

A "fight" is not a bad thing, if it's done with dignity , and respect. Fight fairly though....no name calling, or bitter angry words that can come back to haunt you later on. Speak firmly, and distinctly to express your side of the argument. I was a "yes dear" kind of man for 20 years, refused to fight.....and that does NOT work! Don't pursue fights, but don't run from one either.

I dont think you want to avoid... Its better to get things out in the open fight may not always be the best way but its better then holding everything in for year and then breaking up b/c you guys couldn't communicate your dislikes.

It's very possible. YOU have to be the one that disengages from the argument. It's hard to argue with someone when they don't participate.
