If you're asking what I think you're asking, yes. Like if you're a cashier and your drawer is $20 short, they have the right to take it out of your check. If you are the only one who uses the register, you would be responsible unless you think that someone stole the money, which in that case should be reported to you supervisor. If you share the register with other people, the amount should be divided between the users unless you can prove who is responsible.
