Best Vampire film, i think, is Dracula starring Gary Oldman.
My Favourite Film is Blade. It is a beautiful film, turns vampirism into a disease rather than a curse and makes them fully intergrated into society. Filming style is beautiful, has a very indie feel. Fight scenes are extraordinary, Blade is the only person who could take the role, he made it his own.
Unfortunately the sequels, I think, were rather disappointing (especially Blade Trinity, in which I think Blade was pushed to the side in favour of the Nightstalkers). But the original still rocks.

"Near Dark" an almost forgotten classic just because it`s low budget and has a great cast ,great story and great twists on the established Vampire flick.
"Buffy The Vampire Slayer" (the movie) just because it`s so damn cheesey and fun.
"Interview With THE Vampire" because it kept close to the book (close but not enough) even though the casting was really bad - Lestat was supposed to be a six foot blond Adonis and Armand a 17 year old adolescent (at least when he tokk the Dark Gift) BUT Kirsten Dunst was AWESOME as Claudia.
"Once Bitten" simply because it`s early Jim Carey has a sexy Vampire and the second funniest servant ever.
"Love at First Bite" because it`s just a fantastic film with a .fantastic cast and THE funniest Renfield ever.
"Vampire In Brooklyn" - Eddie Murphy! What else can I say??

I would have to say The Lost Boys.

this is the film that started modern day thinking about Vampires, rather than being the sort of Victorian draculas we know and love, this film presented us with modern cool biker vampires in the (phisicly) earliy 20s.

If it wasnt for the Lost Boys we would have no Buffy or Angel, and with out Buffy, the world of Teen TV would be a very different place.

Also the list of actors, the humor and the soundtrack this is truely one of the greatest films of the 80s, and my personal favourite vampire film. (and my 2nd fav film ever, after Donnie Darko)

Ofcourse the blade triliogy comes close behind.

"KIll you? Mother Fucker, I'll Kill you!" Classic Line.

Some great answers here.
Innocent Blood (1992) Directed by John Landis.
A good vampire black comedy. The main character a female vampire, in revenge, turns the mob boss (Robert Loggia) into a Vampire and then Loggia starts attacking his own men.
I agree with 'Su p' 'Dance of the Vampires'.
A great film. One of the best atmospheric for a comedy.

John Carpenter's "Vampires", and "Vampires 2"- with Bon Jovi-Reason> A new twist
"My Best Friend Is A Vampire"-Reason>Underdog story where the kid comes out on top, Also the fact it’s a comedy and the vampires are the good guys. “Sundown-The Vampires In Retreat”-Reason>Also a good comedy. "Forsaken", and "Near Dark'-Reason>I like rode horror films. "The Lost Boys", "Fright Night", and "Fright Night 2", "Vamp", and "Innocent Blood' again because of the new spin they put on their story lines all with elements of comedy. "Blade", Blade 2", "Blade 3", "Underworld", and "Underworld 2"-Reason>I like action as well as vampire films. These all have a good dose of both. For period pieces, "Fearless Vampire Hunter"-Reason>Great comedy.
And the list could go on, and on. I love a good vampire movie.

great answers from everybody.

Interview is great storytelling and is one of the few that addresses the moral dilemma a vampire might have. Portrays vampires with an interesting dichotomy of power and fear.

John Carpenter's Vampires is a good blend of some action and comedy (James Woods) into the familiar story. I also like the animalistic nature of the vampires in lieu of the elegant, smooth Drac.

Dracula 2000 - GREAT take on the origin of Dracula.

Vampire Hunter D. good anime, good story.

Suspiria. Good film, but weird.

Blade Trilogy. Great action.

Lost Boys. Good effects, best line: "Wow, death by stereo!"

Hammer "Dracula" series. Christopher Lee, those eyes!

Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires. Camp horror classic.

Nosferatu the Vampyre (1926). Max Shreck, try sleeping!

The Hunger. David Bowie, what a story.

The Kindred - It was a series that I missed while it was on the tele but I bought the series and loved it. It depicted vampires in an almost realistic manner. They had relationships and real life (death) situations. Plus the main vampire was gorgeous. - The best thing about it was that because it was a series, I got to watch a vampire show that lasted for two days straight.
