Ryan Leaf will do for now, but I was going to name a player I was thinking of and just can't remember his name. He was drafted somewhere between the mid-80's and early 90's, big Caucasian blonde haired guy that turned out to be a bust for the Packers who used their first pick on him. I don't know if he was first over all. He was a defensive lineman who had a stellar senior year. I know it isn't Brian Bosworth. Now I'm gonna obsess about it until I remember his name. I can see his face in my mind too. Dag!
The next answerer had it by the time I got back. Tony Mandarich, 1989.

tony mandarich, a product of steroid use and a sports illustrated cover, was not a good college player but was so big and so strong teams thought they could turn him into a player, his draft position, #2 behind troy aikman was smoke and mirrors created by sports illustrated when they showed this 300 pound man with no shirt on who was solid as a rock

Todd Collins. He did so bad for the Redskins a couple days ago. He hardly every played and he threw it straight to the opposing linemen twice. Once intercepted for a TD.
