I just read that Israeli commandos , raided west Lebanon !
Does this justify, Hezbollah, shooting rockets at them again ?
After all, didn't the war start, because Hezbollah went into Israel and kidnap two soldiers, is raiding a strong-hold inside Lebanon kosher ?

I believe Israel is only allowed to defend itself, that means if it comes under fire - it has no right to be the judge , jury and executioner !
Hezbollah can also easily CLAIM that USA is re-arming Israel, and attack !
And it wouldn't be a very un-founded claim!

Arguably yes. But arguably no.
The cease-fire resolution allows Israel to take defensive actions. And it requires that steps be taken to stop the flow of arms from Iran and Syria to Hezbollah. The Lebanese government has not taken those steps, and neither have the UN troops.
Israel's claim is that they were implementing that part of the UN resolution, and thus acting in accordance with the cease-fire requirements, by attacking those convoys, since nobody else would.
While it may be arguably technically within the limits of what was allowed, politically and from a public relations standpoint it was a stupid thing to do.
Also, the Lebanese government has used the incident to threaten to not send troops into southern Lebanon. However, as I read the resolution, commitment of troops by Lebanon was a requirement. So, if the Lebanese government breaks the agreement by refusing to do its part, that also relieves Israel (and Hezbollah) of their obligations.

The Israeli raid, which is allegedly in violation of UN Security Council resolution 1701, was directed at arms coming from Syria to Hezbollah. Israel states that it will allow the cease-fire to serve as time for Hezbollah to rearm. If that is the case, then Hezbollah violated resolution 1701 first, and Israel acted to enforce. The UN states that all states have the right to defend themselves, and if the UN does not see fit (again) to uphold its own resolutions, then I am glad to see Israel "violate" the cease-fire.

Olmerts a s s is below fireplace now with the aid of the Israeli public. So it wont marvel me if he creates an incident to take the concentration from him. An previous political ploy. possibly he ought to declare conflict on monsters coming from the ineffective sea and bomb that. this would be much less criminal than Lebanon or Palestine.

Of course they have, abiding by agreements is not one of Israel's strong points. No wonder some countries are reluctant to send peace-keeping troops into Lebanon,Israel has a history murdering UN personnel.

I'm quite confused. Bush in his radio address to day said that Lebanon was a terrorist base. So how come Israel breaks the truce?

Under the spirit of the agreement they violated the cease fire, however, they were within the UN brokered agreement.
And no, going into Lebanon is no longer kosher! (lol, I loved that)

Yes, there has been a naked violation of the cease fire.
They are all baring their bottoms and pointing their bazookas at Lebanon.
