Itunes will not acknowledge any CD I put in!?

Im adding my cd collection to my itunes and whenever i put a cd in the drive it will not acknowledge anything, my other music programs do (like windows media) but itunes will not. It did for awhile but then it stopped..... Im using a windows XP

Try to reinstall it.

it shold say cd dive some were
