Goths tend not be be proud of themselves because of the way the dress. Fake goths (aka teen goths) think so much of themselves because they see themselves as being different and not following the crowd. Real goths rarely act superior, but if they do its because they're smart or talents. And yes, they do have lives, jobs, and relationships, so cut them a break.
