I was there this past May. I was backpacking through Europe and it was my first stop. I loved Paris and want to be back there right now. Only bad thing about it is the international airport's currency exchange place. Don't do it there, the exchange place charges a 3 -15% commission. At the Waterloo Station in London, the cost was about 4 pounds for any amount of money you are exchanging.

Well I have been many times. My husband is from France and his family lives about 15 min from Paris. I lived here in the states and he came here years ago as a student and we hosted him in our home at the time when I lived with my parents. So love at first sight I guess ;) We now live happily married together here in the states after going through extensive paperwork. We have to visit family every year this year is different because our son is older now and can understand where we are at ;)

Superb city! Marvelous city planning with great buildings reflecting the financial strength, as well as the power due to colonies and fine economy, industry, army, etc.!

I was there once and I took the "tourist" route, but I want to go again and appreciate the history and culture more than I did previously! No matter what, you can't help but love it, unless you have something against people who speak French! lol
