You bleed heavy for about a week or two, but then for about 4 more weeks you still have some lightish discharge. It goes by fast though... you don't even notice it after a while.

Bleeding can continue for 2 to 6 weeks after delivery. If you notice your bleeding is increasing, that is a sign that you need to take it a little easier. Remember your body is healing from a fairly traumatic experience. Bleeding generally increases if your activity increases. Try slowing down a little and see if that helps.

Every woman is different. It look me 6 with my oldest, and only 4 with my youngest. If you keep bleeding for too long then see a doctor, but a month is normal. Congrats on your new baby.

Some women bleed up to 6 weeks.
If your bleeding slows or stops and then starts up again, it is a sign that you may be doing too much. SLOW DOWN and take it easy so that your body can recover.
