You have an altered Vmax motor in it.Get the best plugs you can buy,no platinums!Start there. My Vmax needed some warming up.Remember, you have a fuel pump on that nice venture of yours.Get back to me if you have any more troubles.

If you have spark, and have used either, and it still does not fire, then you probably have NO compression, or very little.

Has the bike been parked a long time? Is it on the coast? Wet weather? You may have a valve train problem, leaking valves, or bad rings. This old of a bike, I'm sure this is the case.

You will need to do a compression test to find out. You should have 110-125 lbs compression, and not more than 20% differance between cylinders. Your bike may run on less than 110 lbs, but not that well, but it won't run on 80 lbs which I'm guessing that is probably what you have going on.

Good Luck.

If you have spark from the wires and gas, then yes, I'd try the plugs next........You can remove a plug, and put the wire back on it, place it on a metal area and then crank it to see the plugs are firing.
