Chupacabra (literally "goat sucker") has been mostly reported to have bled goats and chickens. There have been NO reports of it attacking humans.

The chupacabra (or chupacabras) is a creature said to inhabit parts of the Americas. It is associated particularly with Puerto Rico (where it was first reported), Mexico, and the United States, especially in the latter's Latin American communities and Maine.
The name translates literally from Spanish as "goat-sucker". It comes from the creature's reported habit of attacking and drinking the blood of livestock. Physical descriptions of the creature vary. Sightings began in Puerto Rico in the early 1990s, and have since been reported as far north as Maine, and as far south as Chile.
Though some argue that the chupacabras may be real creatures, mainstream scientists and experts generally contend that the chupacabra is a legendary creature, or a type of urban legend.

Chupacabras are the mexican version of Bigfoot. Although it's highly improbable that such an animal can even exist, some people insist in believing they do. It is my opinion, however, that an 8 foot tall creature can not have been discovered yet, especially since they supposedly kill livestock. Generally, if something's in the back yard eating your chickens, you'd see it.
And if it was a Chupacabra, you'd either shoot it or take a picture of it.
You can also argue, however, that people living in such areas would not have guns and cameras.
As far as I know, it's impossible for someone, especially someone of a 13 year old's size to be attacked and killed by something which almost definitly doesn't exist.
