Super Bowl XXVI in 1992 was held at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN but with the Minnesota Vikings possibly building a new outdoor stadium, could the Metrodome host another Super Bowl again in the future?

As was said before however, if the Vikings really do get an outdoor stadium now, that lacks a retractable roof, then no, there won't be a Super Bowl up there. The NFL would never have it played in the snow. If they kept the Dome or got a new one, it would only be a matter of time as I am hard pressed to think of any considerations that would keep them from hosting it. After all, another northern city, Detroit, hosted last year's.

doubtful.. most super bowls are in warm weather climes or in domed stadiums..
