Well, the biggest mistake I've ever made in my life SO FAR is buying my mom's piece of **** car for $2000.

Well, first off, I've done a lot of things that were unwise or silly or stupid... But most of it was a part of growing up, and I don't regret any of it. I think, if anything comes close to qualifying as a "mistake" in my life, it would be leaving my home country and moving half-way around the globe to the US. I have a great live here now, a good job that I love, and I'm getting married next month. But the trade-offs were huge - having to move away from my family whom I was very close to, and from everything I'd known. I am still not completely sure if this was the "right decision"; I would not have been as well off financially had I stayed there - but I miss having my family close by, and I feel guilty not being there for my parents as they get older. 13 years later, I'm still ambivalent about this decision.

Not getting together with the 1 I truly love. Loved her from college but for 1 reason or another we never got serious.. was the best of friends, had other relationships etc. Went to different countries, she had a child, and a failed marriage. I got invol too, rushing into a marriage because I was lonely. Now my marriage is going really badly. I found out my friend felt had felt the same way all those yrs ago. should have made a move then. I felt we were completley right for each other. Wouldnt have gone thru all the crap she went thru and I'm now going thru. We would both be happy now.

I agree that getting married and having children young is a big mistake. Maybe having children at all is a mistaek for some of us. I am a Grandmother of 4 and wouldn't give anybody up but, for sure, parenting was the hardest thing I have ever done.

I'm right there with you, except for the widow and boyfriend part. It was a mistake getting married so young, but the BIGGEST mistake I made was never finishing college. I regret that still, but am trying to fix that. Have fun with the bf!

My biggest mistake was getting married just because I got my fiance' pregnant. We were both very young and had so many relationship problems. Our crappy dating relationship turned into a crappy marriage.

I think that the biggest mistake that you can make is not learning from the little mistakes that we all make.
All the mistakes, actions both positive and negative make us who we are, as long as we learn from experience we will continue to grow and move forward.
