How can we reserve rooms at motels that have truck parking?

We will be driving a moving truck and towing a car behind it. We will have to stop overnight twice along the way. We want to book motel rooms in advance, but only at motels that have room for parking long trucks with pull through (no backing to get out again.)

Are there any sites that will help? Any lists of hotels/motels with truck parking?

Once you know what state and city you would be stopping in you can use the city search guides on the Internet . They would have it on their web sites about truck parking.They are usually pull in forward and then you can pull out and they have enough room for 53 foot wide trailers.You will have better luck with the popular ones like Super8 ,Best Western.

I assume the smaller towns and small cities would have parking for big trucks at any of their hotels. They'll want your business. I'd suggest getting a telephone number for say Orbitz or Travelocity and when it's time to stop from your long trip, give them a call to learn what the cheapest hotel is in that area. I pasted a list of truck stops below that may be of use to you. If that doesn't workout, I'd suggest picking one chain at a time and calling them. Most of the Motel-6 I've stayed at had room for big trucks. They were all clean, but had limited services like no breakfast or high speed Internet. Good Luck!

The lady is correct, call the hotel.

The best way other than that would have been to describe your route, so people can scan their memory, tell you what worked for them. So as your question is phrased, it is hard to answer.

We've moved like you say, and if you just keep your eyes open for the signs at the junctions, you'll find hotels that other truckers use. There's usually a motel near the Flying J or Pilots where you can park a rig.

I work at a hotel- feel free to call them directly. Most of the time, they really will want your business, and will let you know if they can accomidate your needs.
And in the case of Hilton, the cheapest rates are usually on orbitz.com or the hilton website.

Who is popular with. Truckies park their autos in all sorts of wierd places. because the autos are so vast, it really is likely perplexing to detect a sturdy spot it quite is out of how and heavily isn't too perplexing to get out of. Who cares.
