how to do select a specific part of a picture on flash mx?

i'm trying to insert a triangular logo to my flash movie but everytime i take the logo from photoshop the transparent space ends up white. how to i select just the logo and delete the white space around it?

for transparency need to export the image in png or gif format.

or in flash select the picture ctrl+shift+b, and this breaks the image like a fill

select the white color and make it transparent.
