So many people complain about spellings, punctuation and grammar on here, I am giving you all a chance to say which one annoys you the most.
The one that annoys me the most is when people say things like 'with Peter and I' AAAGGHHH! With Peter and ME!!
The other one is "its" and "it's".
Over to you!

To geminipetelo...
Peter and I went to the shops is fine. Peter and me went to the shops would be wrong.
But my example is: WITH Peter and I
you wouldn't say 'with I' so it's with Peter and me.
It's people who have a vague idea that they mustn't use 'me' they must always use 'I' that gives me the AAAGGGHHH's!

And , in case anyone is wondering, Peter was my teddy bear. Now, that gives me an idea for my next question...

Maybe my teacher taught this incorrectly. I was taught that if you could remove the other person, in this case Peter the sentence should still make sense.

Peter and I went to the movies becomes I went to the movies.
I was taught this is correct way to decide when to use I or me.

Peter and me went to the movies becomes Me went to the movies. I was taught this would be incorrect.

I am embarrassed to say I have been doing it wrong all these years. That is if you are doing it correctly.

Oh, I am a fool. I just reread the question. The word with makes all the difference. Thanks for making me think today.

I have always done well with my spelling. My grammar and punctuation is a little off sometimes. I believe the spelling is because of my love for reading. And I actually feel sorry for people who misspell because they probably didn't enjoy reading when they were young and have missed out on so much. I believe people should look past the spelling, grammar and punctuation and just ask and answer the questions as well as they can.

Yes! this question has been on been on here many times in different forms. The most common mistake is not putting the correct space between sentences and parts of sentences. It should be one space after a comma and two spaces after a full-stop.
The other one, is using a small i instead of a capitol (I) when referring to yourself. This one really is bad because it shows such ignorance.

sorry are you moaning about them saying peter and i or them saying peter and me?
i hate questions that don't say clearly what they mean :P
if you are annoyed with peter and I that's the correct way to write it's not peter and me that's the wrong way.

only playing with you.
don't let it bug you if you understand the spelling error just answer the question. 1/2 time i can't be bothered doing a ' or ,

For me it has to be 'dose' instead of 'does', which seems to be very common here, along with the myriad of other errors and 'txt speak'. The fact is that we have wonderfully rich language and it seems such a shame to waste it.

Pete ( and myself and I)

ps, There is nothing wrong with 'Peter and I', because the person speaking or writing is doing so in the first person. You would not say 'Me went to the shops', you would say 'I went to the shops'. Thus when referring to yourself, it is correct to say 'I' and not 'me'

I get annoyed when grocery stores, or other places that sell food, say something is "Fresh" with quotations around it. I know they are just trying to draw attention to the word fresh, but what they are really saying is, the product only appears to be fresh, or they are being sarcastic by saying it is fresh. Uggghhhh!! Get a clue!

I am pretty good when it comes to my spelling and grammar. But one thing I always have to check is whether brillaint/brilliant is spelt right.

What about definitely/definately?

And when do you say Pete and me / Peter and I

PS Asker of this question - it's not AAAAGGHHHH it's AAARGGGHHHH

I used to edit a newsletter and two things that made me crazy:
am or pm when it should be a.m. p.m.
And... 2 spaces after a period when it should be 1. The typewriter is history and so is the 2 space rule.
