Some of my friends buy expensive clothing and say that it's because it's better quality... But whether the shirt is from a department store or Gucci, the shirt is both 100% cotton... I don't think one lasts longer than the other.

the better the brand, the more expensive it is, they say its higher quality but let me tell you I bought a $28.00 shirt from Hollister and it the sleeves started coming off! I pulled one tiny string and the sleeves started coming off. also the same w/ abercrombie & fitch I bought one of their tank tops from their online site an you know what one of the straps just poof right off and I only had the shirt for a day! I prefer wal-mart, jc penneys, sears or bon-ton!

Cheaper clothing has lower quality. Then again there is quality and there is brand pricing.

The polo I'm wearing couldn't be sold for less than twenty some dollars and still make a profit because of the price of making it. It is a nicer shirt than I could buy in walmart.

Then again some brands would take this shirt I'm wearing might sell for a lot more under a brand other than Lands End.

Cotton varies in quality, just like many other materials. Also, the way an item of clothing is made affects its quality, not just the material. And while it's not true as a blanket statement, more expensive clothing often does last longer than cheaper clothing.

I dont think it matters at your actually buying expensive clothing at cheaper pricing, what they do is send the high priced clothes to a cheaper department store because it didnt sell ..so for example if you go to like Ross your buying a shirt that originally costed $35-up, you get it there for less than $20 and its exaclty the same

Often one factory will produce the same clothes for several brands with only the label being different. Even if a brand has a unique design the quality will rarely be any different.

I do think that desiner clothes are higher quality...usually. When it comes to plain white T-shirts or jeans though, there's not a big difference between Prada and K-Mart. How high quality can a T-shirt get?

I dont really care about brand as long as it looks nice. Expensive doesn't necessarly mean it is good. I mean if something happens to the shirt or pants. It's like OMG my $50 shirt is ripped. I would cry if any of my expensive shirts get ruin.

Sometimes the clothes are better quality but sometimes it's not. I know someone who works at one of those high end places, I forget where but he says that their "real" fur coats are fake and their clothes are honestly poor quality.

I don't see why people spend an arm and a leg just because of a label.

the fit of the shirt is usually better with brand names.

i don't like paying the price, so i buy much cheaper shirts and tailor them at home.

i'm 15, so i'm sure you could do it, too.
