In high school, every monologue in Acting class I ever did recieved the only standing ovations in the entire class. I'm currently at UCF trying to major in political science, but deep down, I really want to be an actor. The thing is, it usually takes living in L.A., or N.Y.C. to get into the business, especially when it simply comes to auditions.

Is there any way to break into the biz while living in Orlando, or Fort Lauderdale? Or do I really have to pack it up and move in order to even have a chance?

I'm sure there is. I really don't know much about it, but I'd suggest checking the internet. You could also check with the drama director at UCF, if they have one.

Well, you could try with the local community theatre...but there are limited talent scouts going to local comm. theatres.
You may have to move & join the thousands of prospective actors working as bus boys & waitresses or worse, waitingto getyour break...
Political science will serve you better, then you can act to have fun...
