Probably!
Where shall I take you with the winnings from the last lottery?

Well I have never thought of it like that but you have a point. Take it a step further and its also like a simple distribution of wealth all around, although the universal winner is the lottery company. If you had made a million on the lottery, you wouldn't be asking the question I suspect. I think we would all be happier playing the lottery if say, 100% of profits went to build a great health service again ......
As a final thought, think about the benefit system in the UK ... that is a simple way to redistribute wealth ..... and not a bad way at that. The trouble is that people use and abuse it and take the dividends when they don't even need it, usually by fraud.

We've all played the lottery at some stage, so it's not just the poor and the stupid who get ripped off! The National Lottery is an equal opportunities con.

We all waste money on something, I can afford to waste it but everyone has the same choice. National - state or overseas, people will gamble if they want to. They already tax the fundamentally stupid.

Probably. I was just about to ask a different lottery related question., I will do. But it allows one to dream, and funds things that are probably good for society. There is a lack of democracy in the distribution of funds, though.

More than likely, but how long had you been doing the lottery before you too came to that conclusion.

Well, they do say if you aren't in it you can't win it and who knows, you might be the 1 in 14 million with a lucky ticket?
