African American culture is both part of, and distinct from American culture. From their earliest presence in North America, Africans and African Americans have contributed literature, art, agricultural skills, foods, clothing styles, music, and language to American culture.

Social scientists can't even clearly define what the term 'culture' itself is.
African-Americans are very diversified.. there is no one 'culture' amongst them as some belong to the upper, middle, working and lower classes.

The term "African American" is purely stupid. there are various blacks who's kin has lived here for generations. Why do no longer we call white human beings "ecu human beings"? i do no longer see why figuring out human beings with the aid of the colour of their epidermis would desire to be any diverse than figuring out them with the aid of their hair colour. would desire to we call redheads "pink-haired human beings"? besides, returned on your question. there is not any difference.
