Firstly, it's very important that you have the correct birthdata. For an accurate horoscope your birth time, date, and location are needed. Sometimes, birth times aren't correctly recorded because of daylight saving, or changes might be made during wartime etc., or even forgetfulness by the recorder.
When a chart is erected from accurate data, then there are immediately around 1500 variables that can be assessed within the chart. Interpretation is not achieved by looking simply at what sign the Sun is in!
The 3 main factors we initially look at are the sign the Ascendant is in, the sign the Sun is in and the sign the Moon is in. We will take into account which area or House they fall in. Then we look at the positions of all the other planets and points and how they modify one another, including the Sun, Moon and Ascendant. The chart ruler is the planet that rules the Ascendant sign and is regarded as a major influence on the personality. Also, any planets in the first house have a dominant effect upon the personality .
The influence of Neptune for example, in the first house of personality, would "dilute" the Ascendant or rising sign, this tends to leave the individual with a lack of sense of identity and direction, a feeling of being not sure of who they are.
The many configurational variations of planets, points, elements, modes, qualities, aspects, houses etc, in a horoscope is virtually endless. And that answers the old chestnut of "How can everybody in the world be categorised by just 12 zodiac signs?". Well, we aren't. Every individual has their own horoscope, their own unique "snapshot in time" blueprint. That's what makes you different from another "Aries", makes me different from another "Aquarius". When we refer to ourselves as being this "starsign" or that "starsign" we are only referring to what zodiac sign our Sun was in during the month of our birth. Therefore, do not just look at what sign your sun is in.
So, what I'm saying is, is that there may be some configuration in your chart which has a major effect on the presentation of your sun, moon or ascendant, which modifies your personality differently from what you would expect by just reading your Sun sign.

Libra Characteristics and Personality Traits
Libra charcteristics and personality traits - Zodiac Sign - ruled by Venus.
Your Sun Zodiac sign may not best describe your personality features, your characteristics and general qualities that you bring to life. For many people, their Ascendant or its planetary ruler is the more obvious characteristic, or sometimes the Moon sign. Your Sun sign, rather, says more about the direction you should be moving in, to make the contribution to humanity you were born to make, and thus achieve a degree of personal fulfilment.
The goal for Libra is to witness the importance of co-operation and harmony in human life. Libra is represented by a pair of scales - the only sign to be represented by an inanimate object. This says something about the Libra objective - to be fair and balanced in everything in a detached way - it is an air sign and therefore seeks an ideal. At its best, Libra can view complex situations, maybe emotionally highly charged ones, and come to a balanced view based on a fair consideration of all the options. However, it may take a while to come off the fence! Come down in favour of one side of the scales and the other side goes up and Libra always seeks to restore balance.
Traits of a Libra:
* Desires popularity
* Loves art
* Neat
* Dresses up for the occassion
* Slight perfectionist
* Narcisstic
* Charitable
* Bossy at times

I've responded to several variations on this question, so sorry for repetition:
Ask yourself, are there just twelve kinds of people in the world?
I was born 9th March - Astrologers say I am Piscean, and I could go and buy books telling me what sort of person I am, what sort of work I should do, whom I should marry etc, based on that. But the Sun is actually in Aries on 9th March! That is because Astrologers don't do Astronomy. The Zodiac they use is centuries out of date, and was inaccurate to begin with. All this crap about 'Jupiter moving into the house of Capricorn' etc is based on a geocentric idea of the solar system that just isn't true, and which was disproven back in the 16th Century!
Most horoscopes are full of what are technically known as 'Barnum statement' - so vague, so open to interpretation that people can apply them to themselves and think they are unique. James Randi did an interesting little experiment a few years back - he gave out horoscopes to a class of students, asked them to read them, and comment on them. Most of the students professed amazement at the uncanny accuracy. Then Randi revealed that far from giving them individual horoscopes, he had given them all the same statement, that he had just made up!
It's on U-tube, I'll see if I can find a link

There are so-called things called moon signs too based on you D.O.B which means you have traits of yout star sign and moon sign your moon sign could be a virgo for all you know and you could take more traits from that. I am very like a Pisces, I'm creative, imaginative,shy at times but very playful. However I take some traits other traits, sometimes I can be flirtatious. My moon sign is a Virgo. We have little traits from ourselves based on our signs. Personally I stick to one and that's my star sign, that doesn't mean your horoscope as a aries isn't true it just means you don't carry those traits...you can get traits from anywhere...upbringing or anything so whose to say moon signs really exist and that we do actually get traits from star signs?
Aries are known to be very caring, and they put others before them you probably are a Aries in slight deeper ways, some people are nice deep down but only believe and show themselves as to be stronger and harder people.
Whatever you are it doesn't matter you can still believe in horoscopes themselves as I said, but don't let star sign traits bother you too much. Don't read into them too much either, we invest in them so much when something happens that a horoscope says we point it out but funnily enough we ignore the things that don't happen when they're meant to! We'll never know till it's all over! Like we'll never know many things about life and Earth till we die.
You can go to a psychic though, I know someone with psychic abilities and believe it as to be possible, I'm sure a psychic or someone could tell you, I'm sure it would be fun even if you get nothing out of it. Book one or go to one with a group of friends. Just don't let them read your future...I don't trust them when it comes to that! You never know what they could do or tell you. Lol. Sound like a right wacko don't I? Anyway peace. I'm off to bed...I should have gone to bed at 11pm when I said...but now it's 5hours later and I've got to get up for work in 2hours! I'll never know why I do these things!

I am a lot like my sign, I am a saggitarus. Except the easygoing thing, I tend to plan things out. Most sag's are type B personalities and I am a type A. I don't think that everyone is like their signs, otherwise there would be a whole bunch of the same people.
