wow.

I went past my pap and they reminded me and I just said it wasnt convenient for me yet.. I'll call when I can.

You really should talk to your doctor about why you wanna stop the patches.. they wont care that you dont want to use them.. but they COULD use any information on what they do to your periods.. for research purposes. They may ask if you want to use a different birth control.. and they may even give you free condoms if you want them..

Doctors are not YOUR parents. They wont care if you continue using a form of birth control.. they SHOULD be there to give information and help if it's needed.. No need to be scared.

Uhh Are you sure you dont need a therapist more then a Gynecologist...?
1. You should get your annual its important... especially if your old... but even if your young.. I can't say a lot because i dont personally go every year either and niether does my sister in law who is a nurse... So uhhh yah thye say get em!

2. Its up to u if u want cancer or not... go get it done cuz u got nothing to loose... i guess
3. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE PATCHES to get pap smears done?? Seriously, if you want a break, then tell her you want a break from them... that has nothing to do with them...

4. Oh i know... :-)
5. Sure why not.... Do you think you're their only patient? Docs dont remember details usually... If she says something smile and say thanks for the reminder...
6. Just go get one... once again... you need those examinations to check for cancer and other problems that could happen to a woman... it has nothing to do with birth control... Are you not going to get your cars tire fixed because you didn't get an oil change first?

once again... Call a therapist... i think this is more a problem that has a mental problem of anxiety/fear/unknown/who knows behind it... :-) good luck and have fun!

If your pap smears have been normal for the past several years and your are going off the patch, it isn't a big deal to put it off for a few months. If you are sexually active with more than one partner, however, it's a good idea to get regular ones because of the higher risk of HPV, which can lead to cervical cancer.

If your doctor is intimidating, switch. There is literally nothing about his or her disapproval that should KEEP you from going in.

With the epidemic of cervical cancer and viruses leading to cancer in this country, you need to get checked. We all do. So you missed a few appointments. If you don't switch (and you shouldn't need to) go in, make no apologies, and if questioned, say yes, you were overdue but all the recent ads reminded you of how important it is. That's enough to say.

Read on WebMD on the subject. And you might consider some self-introspection or counseling to consider if you are worried about what the doctor thinks, or about what you might find. The doctor is paid to help you. Most are compassionate and understanding. IF you're worried about your health, for goodness sake don't delay.

According to my wife, a woman should get a Pap smear each and every year. The results from your annual Pap smear may provide the only warning you get about cervical cancer and other women's health and reproductive issues.

They would like for you to have a pap smear and are happy when you arrive for the job . Dont worry about it. Your doctor will just be happy to see you
