Why do you ask? I imagine its probably a combination of opportunity, low self esteem/narcissism, a quest for "big" money, stupidity, short-sightedness, self-delusion, a willingness to exploit and be exploited, and a wish to be famous. I think they have to be willing to do almost anything except work at a decent job. I also think they must have very low opinions of themselves or be very egotistical.
