my monitor is now red instead of blue, since I did a system recovery, what does this mean?

Have you tried
right-click on the desktop
click Properties

I'm sure you can take it from there.

It sounds like you may be operating in safe mode. If not, it just means that you have restored all of the factory settings.

Sounds like your video card is shot, or perhaps you need to download proper drivers. Or your monitor is dying .... dying ... help meeee ....
