If you (and the others answering this question) think about this for a minute you will realize that smoking during pregnancy is worse. Why?
Well if you are sitting in a room where someone is smoking, that is secondhand smoke and you are inhaling it. One strike. Secondhand smoke.
Now if *you* are the one smoking, you are presumably sitting *next* to your burning cigarette, in a room filling with smoke. Thus you (and everyone else in the room) is inhaling the burned off smoke, plus you are smoking a cigarette and inhaling it into your lungs. Therefore, you are getting secondhand smoke AND you are smoking. Two strikes. Secondhand smoke and inhaled smoke.
Now, if you are smoking and you are pregnant, not only do have all the things mentioned above, but now your fetus is getting the nicotine and possibly reduced oxygen flow from your compromised pulmonary status. Three strikes. Secondhand smoke, inhaled smoke, and nicotine to the fetus.
Thus, clearly, smoking during pregnancy - way worse.

yes, sometimes worse. low birth weight and premature labor can be a result of second hand smoke. remember, ur baby breathes the same air that you do. i live in a house where 2 of the people i live with smoke. if i'm not at work, when i'm home i stay in a separate room with the door closed to avoid the second hand smoke. i want to give my daughter the best start in life, and that also means avoiding second hand smoke.

Secondhand smoke is worse than smoking period. You see when you smoke you exhale some of it out, unlike when you inhale secondhand smoke. If you are pregnant you should try to aviod secondhand smoke even more for your child's sake.

Yes, it's just as harmful
The problem with second hand smoke as well as the 6,000 chemicals that can seriously harm you there is CO2 along with that. When you inhale that it's just like using a regular ciggarett.
I don't recomend it, as this will provide serious complications for the fetus. It could kill it.
