If it's big business that runs America then the election is only a chance for Americans to vote for the Comanies spokesman and it would not matter who you voted for or what party got in - would it?

The only strong power that the people have is the power of public opinion. Let us take Wal-Mart as an example. For the many unethical violations that Wal-Mart commits (unfair wages, crisis in need, health care, slave labor, union busting, false advertising, environmental misconduct etc etc) individually there is nothing we could do. Even if 10 employees started to rally it would mean nothing. But, if every Wal-mart employee walked out and occupied the parking lots for a one week period with signs stating their grievances then the press would cover the story and popular public opinion would shift not only for the people that would have shopped there but corporate would have to succumb quickly to provide the necessary solutions and stop their losses. Wal-Mart would ofcourse call in their favors from politicians and have the police force use inhumane reponses to break the crowd. But once again, if it happened in every store at the same time and the people showed the resolve of their power then the big corporation would have to change its ways. The french showed us the power of this which was covered very lightly by the corporate media in this country because the last thing corporations want is for us to exercise our strongest power because they could not withstand it. The french shut the country down completely until their needs were met and their needs did indeed were met completely. Our vote for politicians mean nothing...anyone who argues this fact has not done their research but I will guide you in the right direction....read VOTESCAM:The stealing of America. This indepth investigation cost the authors everything they had. The truth revealed in this book is staggering. We need as a nation to stop buying into the whole dem vs repub or lib vs con debate which is just a ruse to keep us looking in the wrong direction and forget that We The People, if we stand together, can turn this country around for the better....for us all.

Voters control the government through elections.
Government controls business through regulations.
Business controls voters through the media.

This is the balance of power....and it works.
When something gets out of whack, it gets fixed. Sometimes it takes 4 years...sometimes 8.

Yeah, I agree - we oughta just shut 'em down! Arrest the boards and officers, fire the employees, and burn the buildings down! That'd show 'em what's what!
