Of course. If I disrupt my life to suit them, then the muslim extremists have beaten me without firing a shot.

Without doubt. If you stop flying then the people who want to instil fear in the population (and I'm not just talking of 'terrorists') have won.

Incidently - If the 10/8 and 9/11 are used to represent the dates of the attacks / attempts why in the UK do we not write it as 11/9?

Of course, life goes on.

It'll just be more awkward, as I always liked to bring the essential stuff (overnight bag etc.) with me in case my luggage went astray. I just hope the airlines will be more watchful of (what are presumably a few) dodgy luggage handling staff if I'm going to be packing in my mobile and other electronic items. And if I'm not allowed bring a bottle of water with me, the staff had better be more willing to serve water on the flights.

I do need to bring eye drops for post-LASIK surgery lubrication, and if nobody in the security check understands the need for it I could be very stuck indeed. They'll definitely need to be more lenient on the whole "no liquids" rule....

You mean after August 10? Of course, I have a flight booked for mid November. I'll just be very cautious about what I'll carry on with me and make sure most of my luggage is checked.

One can't stop living , because that's what the terrorists want, all of us to be so scard we'll be paralysed , economically, socially, physically. Sorry no can do guys. I die on a plane I die on a plane.

I flew after 9/11, Why not after 10/8.
That is what the terrorists want. If you don't do things because of them. They have won.

absolutely, the more security alerts the safer flying becomes imho although it is a pain to take longer through the lines.

I have to! What bothers me more is that stupid movie here in the states "Snakes on a plane!" I am phobic about snakes! I have to fly! Next time I have to go to the airport I'm wearing my jammies and flip-flops! I always get pulled out for extra checks [ I don't know why?]

I don't think alot of people have a choice, I know that once I get my job, I'll have to fly wether I want to or not, I WILL have to. I don't think there is a HUGE risk, I just think there is a risk, a small one, but granted, there is still a risk there, and it is scary to think about.
