U have to look thru birth certificates..go to the courts n stuff, they always have that stuff on file...and when u get the name, u have 2 start calling from the phone books..it may take u forever until u actually get to the right name..but u'll get there. Just call and ask what family ur looking for, like "i'm looking for the family of..." or "do u know a woman named..." and give him ur mother's name. It's hard work, but it gets done. Some ppl actually find out from the streets. That's how my cousins found out who their biological father was, but the thing was, that didn't even know they had a "biological father." they always thought the father that was in their house was their biological father. Their parents just didn't tell them. They found out by some1 walking up 2 them n said that they were related to them, and told them all kinds of business they never knew about. But yeah, go to the courthouse, look in those files. Go the hospital u was born at, n c if they have anything on ur birth dad. U'll find him. It takes patience, but u will find him. Good luck hun.
Peace n love........

Have you seen your birth certificate? Daddy's name could be there. Really sit with your mom, and ask her to be honest. You have a right to question her. But do not expect her to be willing to answer. Sounds like there is alot of bad feelings. Ask other friends and family of your mom.
