Allen Iverson

NOT EVEN CLOSE. Iverson is way overrated. All you have to look at is his fingers. No rings. D-Wade has one already(yes, he has an aging Shaq). Iverson is just popular with the hip-hop generation of kids. This doesn't translate to his play on the court. He has a ton of heart and always plays hard, but only recently has figured out what it takes to WIN. And his body won't allow him to do the things it once could. He shoots around 40% from the floor. That's terrible. That means for every 40 shots he makes, he misses 60. He takes a ton of shots. You will score around 30 pts if you take around 25 shots. He doesn't get his teammates involved. They have had tons of good players who were supposed to be the next compliment to AI. None panned out because he dominates the ball and takes all the shots. Glenn Robinson, Keith Van Horn, Larry Hughes, Tim Thomas, Chris Webber, Jerry Stackhouse. You can't say that they were all busts or past their primes. Hughes and Stachouse went on to become legit stars AFTER they left Philly. He is tough and gets to the line though. Defensively, he is too small to be a great defender. He tries and gets steals, but is not an excellent-on-the ball defender. Only recently has he developed leadership skills. He was a selfish guy for many years. Yes, practice is important because that is where you show the commitment to the younger guys. The leadership to do what it takes to win. He is too short to be a real shooting guard, and doesn't handle the ball well enough to play the point. He is a player without a real position. All these combine to equal him not being a winner. Outside of one fluke Finals appearance, that's it. Wade has proved that he can win in college and the pros. Remember what he did as a rookie without Shaq. He took that team to the playoffs when they weren't thought of as a good team. He is unselfish and gets his teammates involved. It's not even close!

Wade - not a ball hog like Iverson - knows how to find the right guy at the right time - at the same time - he can dunk like crazy, shoot threes, and make lay-ups with ease.

If you ask me, Wade's the next MJ and Lebron James is the next Bryant.

Allen Iverson is slowly deteriorating - he is becoming an aged veteran - kind of like Kevin Garnett

Dwayne Wade - he's won a championship and gets along with his teammates.

As for Iverson, he peaked and now he's headed downhill.

I'd rather have Wade on my team, less drama than Iverson, and can beat you inside or outside.
