I know that its 20.00's a sheet to hang. This contractor told my family, that is a rip off..

and Home depot is charging double the amount to sale it to you..to hang it, so the contractor yes has to charge the 20.00 but it is just crazy..

That is what my family is having to replace in their 2 story home...so we do it ourself..

1/2" drywall hung only with no tape or finish is approximately $0.94 - $1.25 per square foot. Unfortunately there are price gouging tradesmen who will drive the price up as they are not mindful that you make your money based upon the number of jobs you do and do well and not on how much you victimize folks.

Right now!? Probably a lot....I think it's usually between $2.00-$3.00 per sq. foot normally....so It's probably at least $6.00-$infinity........It all depend on how greedy the sheetrockers are down there right now.....
