i asked this a little while ago but added some more information...ok so I was going out with this girl for a short while, and a couple of times we didnt use a condom, and now shes pregnant. im for sure the father. 100% trust me.. problem is i am 18 and moving far away to college in a couple weeks... me and this girl are over. im want her to get an abortion(its only been like 2 months), but she doesnt really want to. Now, i dont want a child in my life at all, specially since im in no position to support it. Not only that, I dont want to. I cant stand the girl at all anymore. So im wondering .... whats the deal with child support and stuff like that? and do you guys have any suggestions?
also... shes knows im going to college, and she doesnt really wanna mess with my life. she told me she wouldnt need me at all for the baby, going as far as swearing on her moms life that she would never try and ruin my life with the baby(child support).... but do you think she could/would??

the best awy to make sure that she doesnt come after you is to sit down and you both sign a paper stating that you have no rights and no responsibility.
that will keep you from paying child support and her coming after you to pay child support the only bad side is if you want to be a part of the childs life later on you cant because there will be no way that you will be involved no matter what you do because you signed away your rights.
make sure you have a lawyer present, or at least a legal document and a notary.

You did the crime- do the time.. it applies here to! If you CANT STAND THE GIRL AND WANT NO CHILDREN i hope you learned your lesson about putting your dick into things!!! You remind me of my ex and that makes me really ****** sick! YOU SLEPT WITH HER and now you "cant stand her" You should deal with what you have done and be honest AND start looking for a lawyer. if dont want the baby and she does then give up rights 100% if you are over 18 you 2 can sign a legal agreement that says she wont come after you... Get off of yahoo and GET A LAWYER!!!! She is offering you a golden opportunity so take it.. BUT you cant go back.. Dont a year from dnow beg to see "your child" sign those papers and you DONT EXSIST!!! Even if you don't want to be involved in the child's life you still have a responsiblity as a man to make sure it's taken care of financially. Sooner or later she's going to have trouble providing the child with basic needs. You need to step -up and setup formal payments with her. You don't haveto get it court ordered, just send her at least 100.oo a month in a Money order ,so you have a record of it, to cover your @ss. She says that she won't now, but that baby isn't here yet either. You took the effort to make it , now you have consequences for not being responsible with your body.

Just remember that you are the father no matter how you look at it. Just because you don't want the responsibility now just because you are young and want to go to college doesn't take back all that is done now. What do you think that her feelings are now. She has to raise this child on her own and support it for life. Be a man and take the responsibility! It takes two people to create life....she couldn't get this way without you.

I don't know exactly what will happen there are a couple of scenario's that could happen my daughter's uncle had a gf that got pregnant with his kid and she left him and told him that she didn't want anything to do with him and she wasn't going to collect child support because she didn't want him to have anything to do with their child!
I am not saying that this is the right thing to do! Do your parents know that she is pregnant? Do you really want to abandon your kid? If you DIDN'T WANT TO HAVE KIDS YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT IT IN YOUR PANTS AND USED PROTECTION IDIOT!!!
YOU ALSO CAN'T MAKE HER GET AN ABORTION THAT COULD SCREW HER ENTIRE LIFE UP! JUST LIKE YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE!
There are all of these people telling you to sign your rights away I know in my state you can't do that until there is someone there to legally adopt the child YOUR SCREWED PRETTY MUCH!

You had sex. One notable side effect is pregnancy. I assume, since you are going to college, that you are smart enough to know this.
Do the right thing and take responsibility for your actions and support your ex-girlfriend. I suppose the least you can do is to provide some financial support. Try offering it before she has to go to court to force it out of you. In general try to look at the situation in a positive light and figure out how you can help. Talk to her about it.
If you are not willing to step up and be a man in this situation, then keep your pecker in your pants.

Every parent has to support his child. Child support is based on the policy that parents are obligated to pay for the support of their children, even when the children are not living with both biological parents.

In addition to the financial support you should also consider having contact with your child for his psychological development. Having child creates moral obligations too. Wouldn't you be curious how is u child doing is he/she hungry or sick or happy and ...?

uh, I would deffinately get a lawyer and have her sign a contract that she said she will never come after you for child support. But more realistically I would just move to Mexico! But serisouly, WHY DID YOU SLEEP WITH HER WITHOUT A CONDOM IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO BE A DAD AND SUPPORT A CHILD?

If you truly don't want to have this child or be with the girl, it wouldn't be right to stick with her because you "have to." I think that if she says she can handle it, let her handle it. However, when she needs help, you should do the right thing and help her.
You are the father. You were her lover. She may claim she won't need your help, but she will need it eventually.
