You might of already tried this, but maybe try taking her to have her nails done, have then put gels on or fills. These are hard to take off, but no impossible, but it might be a deterrent once she sees how beautiful her nail can look. Another option, bribery, maybe try that, if she doesn't bite her nail for a month, maybe tell her you'll buy her a new pair of pants/shirt.shoes ( of course within your budget) hope these suggestions help. My dad put chili on my fingers and I never bit my nail again.

properly, the 12 months previous isn't your newborn and he probably would not extremely understand what he's doing (except he's in direction of two). it is something you want to search for advice from with the figure about. an excellent type of daycares have a no tolerance biting coverage, which isn't unreasonable. you want to talk a dicipline selection for biting. your 3 year previous is probably purely being a touch jealous, it really is comprehensible in view that he's sharing mommy with 2 different childrens now. a three year previous, you possibly understand, knows that it is incorrect. you could do time outs, get rid of priviledge, or perhaps attempt some powerful reinforcement--if something takes position and he would not scratch, say, good interest, you used your words and did not scratch. supply him a decal or a cookie. also, i wish you at the on the spot are not spanking or slapping the different newborn's fingers. if i got here across this out about my sitter/daycare i'd be tremendous pissed!

My mom used to rub chilli pepper( or any kind hot pepper) on my little sister's finger nails. It worked like a charm, a very effective deterrant, but not harmful at all.
But, for a 16 year old(unbelievable), you probably need something stronger, like habanero.

Yes, I bit my nails until I was 21, and they used to bleed until my mum bought me STOP'n'Grow, available from any chemist. Its absolutely vile and the taste stays with you for hours after! Tell your daughter that the hands are a dead giveaway to someone's personality and bitten ones detract from her otherwise natural beauty. Hands are so important, especially in modelling, and I have never bitten mine since, so give it a go!.

She's 16, you can't make her stop if she doesn't want to. You could always tell her that they don't hire models without nails...

I used to do the same thing when I was younger. My mom gave me $30 to quit for 30 days and if I ever started again, I would have to give it back. Needless to say, I have never had to give the $30 back. Good luck!
