Internet Explorer keeps track of each URL that you type in the address bar as a convenience to save you from typing the next time that you visit that site. However, any user that uses your computer can find out what addresses you typed in as well so some may be interested in clearing the address bar addresses. Just clearing the browser history will not do this as a registry modification is needed:

1. Click on Start, then Run.
2. Type regedit in the box provided.
3. In Regedit navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\
Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Typed URLs
4. Then just delete all of the keys that list the URL's you no longer want to see.

Open your Internet Explorer, go to File, click tools, Internet options. On the address, just click Use Blank. Click Delete Cookies then click OK, Delete files and then check the box, click OK. after you do that, you won't be able to see the address on your bar permanently. Let me know if it does work ok.

Basic Internet Exporer History Wipe
Clear internet exporer history by going to Tools > Internet Options and clicking on the 'Delete Files' button and 'Delete Cookies' button. You could also reduce the number of days to keep pages in history down to '0' and click on the 'Clear History' button inside the History section of this window.

Use the "Clear History" + "Delete Files" buttons in Internet Options (if using Internet Explorer)......... if it hangs, then you'll need to use a Cache Cleaner tool, such as the one incorporated into ZONEALARM INTERNET SECURITY SUITE.

If it's just one you want to get rid of, and want to keep the rest then you need to do the risky task of editing the Windows Registry (Start > Run > RegEdit).
To edit this (in Windows '98SE at least.... may vary in XP + other versions), with Internet explorer turned off, go to:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER] > Software > Microsoft > Internet Explorer > Typed URLs
Click on the one you want rid of, to hilight it.... right click on it.... select "Delete"...... Close RegEdit....... Restart computer.

But remember editing the Windows Registry can seriously bugger-up your computer if you try it without knowing what you are doing.

Have a close look at the icons on the tool bar. Can you see a small black upside down triangle at the side of every icon, well if you click on it a drop down menu will appear with all sorts of things on it.
The one you want is on the left of the search box. look for options and personalize your tool bar.
you can also highlight the search and press delete on your keyboard.
