The square root of -16 is 4i and that divided by 2 is 2i

Negative square roots are imaginary adn the most basic negative sqaure root, sqrt(-1) is represented by the symbol i, so
[sqrt(-16)]/2 = [sqrt(-1)sqrt(16)]/2 = [4i]/2 = 2i
