I have an IQ of 129 which is high but not amazing.
I took a psychometric test a while ago and got tremendous results, especially in the area of understanding how things work.
I have 5 "A"-levels grades A, B, B, B, E.
I have a BSc university degree but without honours.
There is something called EQ or Emotional Quotient which measures Emotionall Intelligence but I don't know my score with this one.
There is something called Success Intelligence which is all about quantifying the habits of thought that lead to success.
I have a special kiind of intelligence. I call it Facilitative Intelligence. This is all about quantifying the habits of thought that result in the evolution of processes designed to eradicate dysfunction from the world in an optimal way.
There is also a negative force at large in the world and this is called Obstructive Intelligence. This is based on a fear of conflict. Nearly everyone has some fear of conflict and some people have it much more than others. Such people use all of their available intelligence (IQ) to evolve processes designed to optimise conflict to the lowest possible levels.
Facilitative Intelligence is most effective when Obstructive Intelligence is understood well enough to render it impotent.
I have a great deal of Facilitative Intelligence and I understand Obstructive Intelligence well enough to render it impotent most of the time.
I also have a sense of vision. I can see possibilities and I can see many of them and I can see highly desirable outcomes and I can see many of them. And I have many, many ideas as to how to bring about many of my dreams sooner rather than later. Other people just don't see possibilites. All they ever see are obstacles. What are we doing to our children? We are obviously doing something very wrong!
And how did I escape with my brain in tact?
Mind you it has taken me nearly 30 years to undo all of the damage done to me during my childhood years.
And there is another sign of my special kind of intelligence which is that I can undo the damage done to other people during their childhoods. I am so good at this. But then that is the power of Facilitative Intelligence.

I feel more intelligent in some cases and not in other cases.
When it is something that I think I can give an intelligent answer to then I feel like I am in my element. If it's something that I feel like I am not qualified to answer then I pass it on to others or avoid it all together.
For me vanity doesn't even enter the picture because I am not focused on it. I am focused squarely on answering the question and getting a sense of satisfaction when I can do it.

The thing is, intellegence is kind of like tennis. :) What I mean to say is, you might be better at tennis than your opponent, and it would be easy to return every one of their balls with an smashing hit that they don't stand a chance at returning. But if your goal is to have a game to play, you have to do it on their level. So you lob the ball back and forth so that it can be easily returned.

Intelligent people who become preoccupied by how smart they are will alienate themselves. Their superiority will isolate them from others. How smart can someone truly be if they weren't able to find a way to can't thrive among others? I mean, that's what it's all about. "Other people" are juice of life.
