Try turning on the headlights before you start the motor. It helps bring the current through the electrical circuitry, and acts as a mini jump start.

Depends on year and make of car and the local weather in the morning. For example if damp there could be some minor electrical shorts. Is the battery turning the engine over at a good rate? Does the car have a carburetor? If so some can leak down overnight so it takes a minute or so for the pump to fill prior to getting enough fuel to start. Is the auto choke working? If the car is not getting enough choke it will not be getting enough gas when cold.

What kind of car is it? Please post the make model and year. It makes it easier for all of us that answer you. If it is a GM with fuel injection it could be that your fuel pump is getting weak. Try turning the key on then off and wait 10 seconds, do this 3 times. If it is the fuel pump, it will start easier. You also may have an internal fuel leak in the injection system, this will cause a pressure loss and make it hard to start. It also could be the temp sender to the computer indicating the engine is warm and not delivering enough fuel for a cold start.

You might need to have your cold start injector checked out if it has one. This is a problem on some Toyota's. Another thing to look at is the coolant temperature sensor. This will make your car hard to start and cause other problems too. Take your car in to a good mechanic before you start swapping parts. This is expensive.
