Egg, there were eggs way before there were chickens or fowls for that matter. Later on there was a mutation and one of the eggs had feathers this creature mated and more feathered creatures were born and thru evolution the chicken was born from the egg.

The ova or egg came before the chicken. Many forms of reptiles or warm blooded creatures existed before evolving into what we recognize as a chicken today and they all layed eggs. So, by virtue of the way the question is asked, the egg came or existed first.

Chicken is an evolution of species of dinosours back from 250 million years. So it is not a question of egg and chicken, but it is a question of how chicken is created by God through the process. Chicken may 'expired' along 250 million years to come.

I would say that the egg came first. I think that animals like chickens gradually evolved and eventually, enough mutations occurred in their eggs, that the birth of the first, at least semi chickens, took place.
