I was just writing somebody and it occured to me that the general belief is that all company owners are greedy, blood sucking thieves. How many of YOU have the guts to put YOUR money on the line? Put YOUR money at risk? To do what YOUR employer has done? To start YOUR own company? Instead of whining and complaining about your job, what about going on your own. No? Can't do it? The owner of you comany that you work for did it. Drive down the street. Any street. Look at all the small companies. EVERY one of them represents someone that had the drive and determination to do better. So do it or quit complaining about your job. Have some guts.

FINALLY, a person who can see past his own nose. cudos to you!!! after working for someone else for 43 years, and thinking the same way about owners, i opened my own store. have been open for almost two years now and wouldn't change it for the world. well, maybe the world, but not much else. looking back, i realized i only had one true greedy bast@rd of a boss/owner who wouldn't part with a single dollar of his own personal $100,000 a month income to keep his own company open or its employees working. he'd rather have nothing than something. so he folded up the business and retired, leaving over 50 employees unemployed and countless customers abandoned. soooo, i opened my own store in its place and so far it is paying off. ten hurrahs for the people who start their own businesses. and to all you "slugs" out there who have settled for less, i say "TTTHHHHHHT!

Seriously, you are not trying to make sense of some of these posts are you? Really, these people will have anyone drinking breakfast out of a martini glass if you take them seriously. So there, there, will be all better soon.

I admire any man or woman who has the tenacity to establish their own business. The odds are against them, according to the statistics. Their success is a reflection of personal sacrifice and commitment. Anyone who achieves their goal(s) should be applauded and respected.
